Snösätra Graffiti Walls in Stockholm
Updated: May 31, 2021
My weekend continued on Sunday with a trip to Snösätra Graffiti walls located about 10 km from the city center of Stockholm.
I traveled to the site from Slussen with the subway line 19 and walked the rest of the way from Rågsved station. The whole trip one way took about 35 minutes and because the weather was so nice I ended up walking back to Södermalm. It took much longer, about two hours, but it was good to see more neighborhoods I had not visited.
I recommend this place for anyone who has even the slightest interest or appreciation for any kind of visual art. The place was much more massive than I thought and there is so much to see. As it was a beautiful day, there were many artist starting, continuing or completing their works at the site. I felt the need to come back later again as there was an artist starting a graffiti with a HUGE whale on it, but unfortunately I never had the time to return to Snösätra again.
Some of the graffiti looked extremely realistic and was done so precisely. I wish I had more time while I was there so I could've just sat down and see how the painters made progress with their works. Slide pictures below to see more!
And I've added even more amazing graffiti to my Tiktok - You can also see a couple of huge pieces that can be found from Södermalm as well if you don't have the time to take a trip to Snösätra.
That's it for this time! If you go to Snösätra and see the fully done whale graffiti - take a picture and send it to me. Would looove to see how it turned out!
